Lichenicolous. Photographs on Lecanora albescens and L. campestris

Parasitic on saxicolous Lecanora species, most frequent on Lecanora campestris.

Black, non-pruinose apothecia with a persistent margin and flat or slightly convex discs (to 0.6 mm diam.) occur on the host thallus. Asci are 8-spored, the spores hyaline, (1-)3 septate, 9.5-16 x 4.5-5 µm and often slightly curved. The epithecium is olive to dark green and the hypothecium reddish-brown.
