Vulnerable. Rare and declining in numbers, S and SW England and in Wales. Can be locally abundant on heaths in the New Forest and Dorset

Wingspan: 26-31mm
Flight time: Late June to August
Habitat: Lowland heaths and limestone grassland

Larval foodplants: Heather and Gorse, Bird's-foot Trefoil and Rock-roses. Larvae and pupae are usually attended by ants
