Found on calcareous, nutrient-rich substrates, concrete walls, posts and cement tiles, rare on wood and bark

Orange-yellow thallus, the centre densely isidiate. Coarse, crowded isidia are knobbly and convex, sometimes becoming flattened and lobule-like. Apothecia are usually infrequent, the discs with roughened margins.
