Widespread, possibly overlooked on the thallus of Peltigera hymenina.

Pale brown to grey-brown fruitbody with widely spaced, sometimes forking, arcuate-decurrent gills. Stem concolorous with cap or slightly paler, thinly pubescent. Basidia 4-spored, basidiospores (7-)8-11 x 4-5.5 µm.

Similar: Lichenomphalia velutina. Mainly upland on wet, sandy soils. Granular thallus. Brown cap and stem, gills initially whitish, remaining paler than cap. Basidia mostly 2-spored, basidiospores 6-8(-9) x 3-4(-5) µm
